The type of personal information we collect

We collect the following information of members of the Friends of NYOW:

• Name
• Contact details – email address, postal address and phone number
• Name of bank account (of those paying subscriptions by standing order)

We also collect the following information of current and former members of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales:

• Name
• Photographs (taken on the NYOW courses)

The purposes of processing your personal information

The personal information of members of the Friends of NYOW is given to us by members themselves.  We use this information to process subscriptions, to maintain our accounts and to inform members of news and events relevant to the charity.

The personal information of former members of NYOW is obtained from archive material stored over the years by a former staff member of the orchestra.  The purpose of processing this information by the Friends is to promote the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, to increase support of our charity and to entertain former members of the orchestra.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on to process this information is that we have a legitimate interest. We do not pass your personal information to any third party although the names and photographs of former members of NYOW are available for general viewing on our website.

Mae gwybodaeth bersonol aelodau Ffrindiau CGIC yn cael ei rhoi i ni gan aelodau eu hunain.  Rydym yn defnyddio’r wybodaeth hon i brosesu tanysgrifiadau, i gynnal ein cyfrifon ac i hysbysu aelodau am newyddion a digwyddiadau sy’n berthnasol i’r elusen.

Daw gwybodaeth bersonol cyn-aelodau CGIC o ddeunydd archif a storiwyd dros y blynyddoedd gan gyn-aelod o staff y gerddorfa.  Pwrpas prosesu’r wybodaeth hon gan y Ffrindiau yw hyrwyddo Cerddorfa Genedlaethol Ieuenctid Cymru, hybu cefnogaeth i’n helusen a diddori cyn-aelodau’r gerddorfa.

Nid ydym yn trosglwyddo eich gwybodaeth bersonol i unrhyw drydydd parti, er bod enwau a ffotograffau cyn-aelodau CGIC ar gael i’w gweld yn gyffredinol ar ein gwefan.

How we store your personal information

Sut rydym yn storio eich gwybodaeth bersonol

Personal information of members of the Friends is stored on a secure database accessed only by the secretary of the Friends.  The information is held for as long as the member remains a subscriber to the organisation.

The personal information of former members is held permanently for archive purposes.

Mae gwybodaeth bersonol aelodau’r Ffrindiau yn cael ei storio ar gronfa ddata ddiogel a gyrchir yn unig gan ysgrifennydd y Ffrindiau.  Mae’r wybodaeth yn cael ei chadw cyhyd â bod yr aelod yn parhau i fod yn danysgrifiwr i’r sefydliad.

Mae gwybodaeth bersonol cyn-aelodau yn cael ei chadw’n barhaol at ddibenion archif.

Your data protection rights

Eich hawliau diogelu data

You have the legal right to access your data or to have your data corrected if it is inaccurate.  You also have the right for the data to be removed unless we have a legitimate reason for keeping it.  Any requests to have personal data corrected or removed should be emailed to nyowfriends@gmail.com.  We will respond to all requests within 4 weeks of receipt.

Mae gennych hawl gyfreithiol i weld eich data neu gywiro eich data os yw’n anghywir.  Mae gennych hefyd yr hawl i gael gwared ar y data oni bai bod gennym reswm dilys dros ei gadw.  Dylid anfon unrhyw geisiadau i gywiro neu ddileu data personol at nyowfriends@gmail.com.  Byddwn yn ymateb i bob cais o fewn 4 wythnos i’w dderbyn.
